An interfaith statement developed at Stockholm+50, “Faith Values and Reach - Contribution to Environmental Policy,” was signed by representatives of various faith-based organizations and Indigenous cultures across the world, including the World Council of Churches, and directed to the governments, UN entities, civil society, and all stakeholders of the “Stockholm+50” processes.

Además de las peligrosas estructuras monopólicas en la economía digital, existe un peligro para la libertad y la justicia, cruciales para las democracias pluralistas en el mundo digital, dice el Dr. Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, obispo de la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana en Baviera. Bedford-Strohm también es presidente del consejo de la Iglesia Evangélica en Alemania (EKD, por sus siglas en alemán) y fue orador principal en la apertura del simposio en la que abordó los desafíos y las oportunidades para un futuro digital más justo. El simposio se celebra en Berlín del 13 al 15 de septiembre y fue organizado con colaboración con la EKD.

Réunion du Comité exécutif du COE et appel à l’unité pour vaincre la COVID-19

Le Comité exécutif du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) se réunira du 17 au 20 mai, et si nécessaire le 25 mai, et axera son travail sur la préparation de la réunion à venir du Comité central et sur la planification de la 11e Assemblée du COE qui aura lieu en Allemagne en 2022. Il rédigera également une déclaration publique sur la lutte contre l’injustice et l’inégalité à l’échelle mondiale afin de vaincre la COVID-19.
