WCC programme executive for Child Rights Frederique Seidel offered an intervention at the Open Reli event. 

The theme of the gathering, a capacity-building initiative for teachers of religion in schools, was The potential of religions for our future.”

WCC programme executive for Child Rights Frederique Seidel offered an intervention that shared insights from implementation of the WCC Churches' Commitments to Children programme in partnership with UNICEF.

Seidel focused on commitment 3 of the programme, which is climate justice for and with children, as well as climate finance advocacy. She also gave background on Commitment 1 which is effective child safeguarding.

The Church of Norway shared a report about the implementation of Churches' Commitments to Children through the synod of the church and results it yielded at a grassroots level.

An environmental project from Ghana was also presented.
