Seine Seligkeit Metropolit Epiphany von Kyjiw und der gesamten Ukraine hat am 10. April auf Einladung des ÖRK-Generalsekretärs Pastor Professor Dr. Jerry Pillay den Ökumenischen Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) besucht, um über die aktuelle Lage in der Ukraine, die Rolle der Orthodoxen Kirche der Ukraine in der Friedensarbeit, das fortgesetzte Engagement der ÖRK für die Beendigung dieses Krieges und den Weg zu einer Mitgliedschaft im ÖRK zu sprechen.

Le 10 avril, Sa Béatitude, le Métropolite Épiphane de Kiev et de toute l’Ukraine était en visite au Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) à la demande du secrétaire général du COE, le pasteur Jerry Pillay, pour évoquer la situation actuelle en Ukraine, le rôle de l’Église orthodoxe en Ukraine (EOU) pour instaurer la paix, l’implication continue du COE pour mettre un terme à la guerre et le processus d’adhésion au COE.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphany of Kyiv and All Ukraine visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 10 April at the request of the WCC general secretary, the Rev. Prof Dr Jerry Pillay, to discuss the current situation in Ukraine, the role of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine (OCU) in working toward peace, the continued involvement of the WCC in addressing the war, and the process for membership with the WCC.

WCC condemns attacks against aid workers in southeast Ukraine

World Council of Churches general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay expressed shock upon receiving the news of the deaths of two aid workers in an attack that injured three others, all from the non-governmental organization HEKS/EPER, on 1 February in southern Ukraine.
