A webinar on 1 March—Zero Discrimination Day— explored the theme “COVID-19, Casteism and Caste discrimination: How to mitigate pandemic-reinforced inequality and discrimination.”

Students from the Bossey Ecumenical Institute deepened their understanding of the ecumenical movement as they helped lead prayers during the World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee meeting, held via videoconference 9-15 February.

Im Zuge der laufenden Vorbereitungen für die 11. Vollversammlung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) in Karlsruhe, Deutschland, im Jahre 2022 gewinnen auch die vorbereitenden Konferenzen im Vorfeld der Vollversammlung zunehmend an Kontur. Die Planungsteams bereiten für die Teilnehmenden eine Erfahrung vor, die den Menschen eine gemeinsame, in vieler Hinsicht verwandelnde Arbeit ermöglicht.

As preparations continue for the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2022, pre-assemblies are taking shape as well. Planners are working to create an experience in which people can work together in transformational ways.

Alexander Vozhdaev, from the Russian Orthodox Church, participated in a study visit to Rome 20-27 January as part of pursuing a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Ecumenical Studies at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute.

Rev. Emma Jansson, from the Church of Sweden, participated in a study visit to Rome 20-27 January as part of pursuing a Complementary Certificate in Ecumenical Studies at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute.

Carolina Zamorano, from the Methodist Church of Mexico, participated in a study visit to Rome 20-27 January, as part of pursuing a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Ecumenical Studies at Bossey Ecumenical Institute.

Bernard Mushi, from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania, participated in a study visit to Rome 20-27 January, as part of pursuing a Complementary Certificate in Ecumenical Studies at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute.

Mehr als dreißig Studierende haben am 27. Januar zusammen mit Lehrenden, Partnern und Freunden des Ökumenischen Instituts in Bossey ihr Durchlaufen und Erleben „einer Schule des Lebens“ gefeiert, als ihnen ihre Zeugnisse nach dem erfolgreichen Abschluss ihres Graduierten-Studiums in ökumenischen Studien dort überreicht wurden.

Gathered at the Ecumenical Institute Bossey on 27 January, a group of more than 30 Bossey students joined faculty members, partners and friends of Bossey in celebrating the experience of “a school of life,” as they earned their post-graduate Certificates in Ecumenical Studies.
