Addressing the World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee, moderator Dr Agnes Abuom welcomed the governing body with great joy for the first in-person meeting in nearly four years.

En su intervención ante el Comité Central del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), la moderadora, la Dra. Agnes Abuom, dio la bienvenida al órgano rector con gran alegría por ser la primera reunión en persona en casi cuatro años.

 El Comité Central del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) se reunirá presencialmente del 15 al 18 de junio en el Centro Ecuménico de Ginebra por primera vez desde 2018. Al tiempo que reconocerá con solemnidad la grave crisis a la que se enfrenta el mundo, el órgano rector del CMI también se reunirá en un espíritu de alegría mientras prosiguen los preparativos para la 11ª Asamblea del CMI.  El Comité Ejecutivo se reunirá el día anterior, 14 de junio, en Ginebra.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee will convene in-person from 15-18 June at the Ecumenical Center in Geneva for the first time since 2018. While solemnly acknowledging the grave crises facing the world, the WCC governing body will also bring a spirit of joyful gathering as preparations for the WCC 11th Assembly continue.  The executive committee will gather the day before on 14 June in Geneva.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee has agreed to convene a central committee meeting 15-18 June to finalize preparations for the WCC 11th Assembly and complete our work together in fellowship.

El Comité Central del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) ha acordado convocar una reunión del Comité Central del 15 al 18 de junio para finalizar las preparaciones de la 11.ª Asamblea del CMI y completar su trabajo juntos en comunidad. 

Alentando a la comunidad del CMI en su constante llamado al discipulado conjunto, el Comité Central del CMI recomendó a las iglesias miembros de la organización el documento “Llamados a la acción transformadora: diaconía ecuménica y apéndices”.
