El rector iraní Ayatollah M. Seyed Abolhassan Nawab y la Sra. Zahra Sedigh, de la Misión iraní ante la ONU, visitaron el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) el 27 de julio, para hablar de educación y formación, así como de la importancia de reforzar el papel de la cooperación interreligiosa.

Am 27. Juli besuchten der iranische Rektor Ayatollah M. Seyyed Abolhassan Nawab und Zahra Sedigh von der iranischen Mission bei den Vereinten Nationen den Ökumenischen Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK), um über Aus- und Weiterbildung sowie über die Bedeutung der interreligiösen Zusammenarbeit und deren Stärkung zu sprechen.

Iranian rector Ayatollah M. Seyyed Abolhassan Nawab and Ms Zahra Sedigh, from the Iranian Mission to the UN, visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 27 July, discussing education and formation, as well as the importance of strengthening the role of interreligious cooperation.  

Als Höhepunkt der ersten Tage des Besuchs in der Region wurden der Delegation des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) diese Woche aussagekräftige Beispiele der Arbeit vorgestellt, die italienische ÖRK-Mitgliedskirchen zur Unterstützung von Flüchtlingen und Migrantinnen und Migranten leisten.

Die meisten dieser Initiativen werden von Frauen geleitet.

Los ricos ejemplos de la labor promovida por las iglesias miembros del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) en Italia para ayudar a los refugiados y migrantes han sido los aspectos más destacados de los primeros días de visita de la delegación del CMI a la región esta semana.

La mayoría de las iniciativas que se visitan están dirigidas por mujeres.

Rich examples of the work promoted by member churches of the World Council of Churches (WCC) in Italy in assisting refugees and migrants, have been the highlight of the first days of WCC delegation visit to the region this week.

The majority of the initiatives visited are led by women.

The churches of Sudan – and especially the Sudan Council of Churches as their ecumenical forum – have suffered from a serious lack of attention and support by international ecumenical partners since the separation of South Sudan in 2011.

To accompany the churches and people of Sudan in the midst of significant changes and challenges in the country, a delegation of World Council of Churches (WCC) along with its ecumenical partners is undertaking an ecumenical solidarity visit to Sudan.

Following the decision of the Executive Committee during its meeting of November 2021, the World Council of Churches (WCC) is posting the opening of three staff leadership positions. The openings include programme director for Unity and Mission, programme director for Public Witness and Diakonia, and director of the WCC Commission on Faith and Order.
