The world faces a global crisis on food exacerbated and brought to the fore by the war in Ukraine, but humanity can and must take remedial steps in economic and climate justice, a World Council of Churches-led meeting has heard.

In einem Brief an Seine Heiligkeit  Patriarch Kyrill  von Moskau und ganz Russland vom 19. April hat der geschäftsführende Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Priester Prof. Dr. Ioan Sauca, Patriarch Kyrill aufgefordert, „einzuschreiten und öffentlich eine Waffenruhe für wenigstens einige Stunden während des Auferstehungsgottesdienstes zu  fordern.“

In a letter to H.H. Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and all Russia on 19 April, World Council of Churches (WCC) acting general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Ioan Sauca urged Patriarch Kirill to “intervene and ask publicly for a ceasefire for at least few hours during the Resurrection service.”

En una carta dirigida a Su Santidad el patriarca Kirill de Moscú y toda Rusia el 19 de abril, el secretario general en funciones del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), Rev. Prof. Dr. Ioan Sauca, instó al patriarca Kirill a “intervenir y pedir públicamente un alto el fuego de al menos unas horas durante la celebración del culto de Resurrección”.

Dans une lettre à S. S. le patriarche Cyrille de Moscou et de toute la Russie le 19 avril, le père Ioan Sauca, secrétaire général par intérim du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) a exhorté le patriarche Cyrille à «intervenir et à demander publiquement un cessez-le-feu au moins pendant quelques heures lors du service de la Résurrection.»
