Bis zum 9. März 2021 sind mehr als 312 Millionen Dosen Impfstoff verabreicht worden. Wir beten um eine gerechte Verteilung der Vakzine, besonders in Ländern mit niedrigen Einkommen, damit die Menschen überall auf der Welt geschützt werden.

Wir erinnern uns an die Staats- und Regierungschefs der Welt, besonders an diejenigen, die an der Spitze von Industriestaaten stehen und deren Entscheidungen sich auf die Situation in Ländern mit niedrigen Einkommen auswirken.

Wir erinnern uns an die Millionen von Menschen, die unter Ernährungsunsicherheit leiden, die Kinder und Jugendlichen, die Opfer von Menschenhandel sind, und die weltweit 235 Millionen Menschen, die Hilfe zum Lebensunterhalt brauchen.

Wir beklagen die mehr als 2 Millionen Menschen, die gestorben sind,  und die tödlichen Auswirkungen der Pandemie auf die Schutzbedürftigsten, insbesondere Kinder.

We celebrate the signs of hope as people are being helped, particularly children and the vulnerable.

With more than 312 million doses of vaccine having been administered by 9 March 2021, we pray for an equitable distribution of vaccines, especially in low-income countries, so that people everywhere will be protected.

We lament the more than 2 million people who have died and the deadly impact of the pandemic on the vulnerable, especially children.

We remember the front-line, health care, and humanitarian workers around the world and the healing of bodies and minds and all of creation.

We remember the world’s leaders, especially those leading advanced-economies countries whose decision impact conditions in low-income countries.

We remember the millions suffering from food insecurity, children and youth being trafficked and the 235 million people worldwide who need living assistance.

O Lord, open our lips, and our mouth shall proclaim your praise...

This week in the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle, we pray with the people and churches of Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

Prayers were prepared in cooperation with the Lutheran World Federation.
