The 2 December debut of a new publication, Mission Rediscovered: Transforming Disciples, by Ken Ross, drew the interest of webinar participants eager to interpret more deeply the Arusha Call to Discipleship

A 24 November webinar unveiled and then unpacked many aspects of “Converting Discipleship: Dissidence and Metanoia,” a study paper produced by the World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission for World Mission and Evangelism.

A book by Ken Ross, Mission Rediscovered: Transforming Disciples, will be released during a webinar on 2 December 2020. A commentary on the Arusha Call to Discipleship, the publication unpacks the meaning of the 12-part summons of the Arusha Call. With an up-to-date theological and missiological view on the Arusha Call, the book also offers a personal reflection on the state of a world desperately in need of change and transformation.

Thursdays in Black ambassadors have created a joint message, unifying their voices in support of “16 Days against Gender-Based Violence.”

A webinar, “People on the Move: Solidarity and Advocacy,” highlighted the current experiences of refugees, stateless persons, seasonal and migrant workers, and undocumented persons, with a particular focus on ways they are being affected by COVID-19 as the pandemic rages on.

Getting a new website generates the same type of excitement among communication staff as birthday parties do for young children, and like any family celebration, there is something for everybody present in a special ecumenical family.

As the global ambassadors for Thursdays in Black gathered online, they looked ahead at what they can accomplish together, as well as ways to deepen their commitment even more to ending gender-based violence.

During the global pandemic it is not any more possible to be present at special celebrations in the ecumenical and global fellowship. The new realities connect the local and global work in a new and innovative way. The WCC is present digitally in many gatherings.
