El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) ha expresado su indignación y sorpresa ante la noticia del bombardeo del hospital gazatí de Al-Ahli. “Miles de palestinos que ya habían perdido sus hogares habían buscado refugio en el hospital, gestionado por la Iglesia Anglicana”, declaró el secretario general del CMI, el Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay; “el ataque equivale a un castigo colectivo, que constituye un crimen de guerra según el Derecho Internacional”.

Le Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) s’est dit révolté et choqué par l’annonce d’une frappe aérienne contre l’hôpital Al-Ahli à Gaza. «Des milliers de Palestinien-ne-s ayant perdu leur logement avaient trouvé refuge à l’hôpital, géré par l’Église anglicane», déclare le secrétaire général du COE, le pasteur Jerry Pillay. «Cette attaque n’est autre qu’une punition collective qui constitue un crime de guerre au titre du droit international».

El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), en consulta con los dirigentes de las iglesias y los representantes de las organizaciones cristianas palestinas del Grupo Consultivo de la Oficina de Enlace en Jerusalén, hacen un llamado urgente a que se lleve a cabo una investigación internacional dirigida por las Naciones Unidas sobre los numerosos crímenes de guerra contra civiles durante el persistente conflicto.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is condemning an attack on one of the buildings within the compound of the St Porphyrios Greek Orthodox Church in Gaza. The building—affiliated with the church, which is one the oldest churches in Gaza—has collapsed in the explosion, caused by Israeli missile strikes, according to the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) expressed both outrage and shock at the news of an airstrike on the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza. "Thousands of Palestinians who had lost their homes already were taking refuge at the hospital, run by the Anglican Church,” said WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay. “The attack amounts to collective punishment, which is a war crime under International Law.”
