Überzeugt durch die innovativen und nachhaltigen Konzepte, die der Ökumenische Rat der Kirchen und das führende Schweizer Bau- und Immobiliendienstleistungsunternehmen Implenia ausgearbeitet haben, hat die Swiss Life Investment Foundation ein Grundstücke auf dem Green Village-Areal sowie das Kyoto-Bürogebäude mit einer Bruttogeschossfläche von ca. 14.000 m2 erworben. Green Village, das Immobilienentwicklungsprojekt inmitten des Quartier des Nations in Genf, hat erfolgreich einen weiteren Meilenstein auf dem Weg zum Abschluss der ersten Phase erreicht.

Assembly participants come together as church families

With over 3,500 participants from all over the world, opportunities for “encounter” are rich and continuous at the 11th Assembly of the World Council of Churches (WCC) taking place in Karlsruhe, Germany. Intentional gatherings – from small “home” groups to regional meetings also help to connect participants and bring different perspectives to the concerns and hopes being raised under the Assembly theme, “Christ’s love moves the world to reconciliation and unity”.

Health and healing have always been important in the work of the World Council of Churches. and the WCC has previously used the Contextual Bible Study methodology to good effect in helping churches address various challenging issues.  In this publication, the focus is on a range of challenging health issues including women’s health, disability, mental health, and health inequality, among others.

Bible studies in this manual was produced by participants from churches around the world, through a series of online workshops, ensuring that various voices and experiences are represented, enriching the publication for a global audience.

Gerechte Gemeinschaften für Frauen und Männer: Tagung zur Vorbereitung auf Vollversammlung erörtert Ungerechtigkeit und soziale Megatrends

Bei einer Plenarsitzung im Rahmen einer Tagung zur Vorbereitung auf die anstehende Vollversammlung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) wurde am Montagmorgen, dem 29. August, eine christliche Vision für gerechte Gemeinschaften für Frauen und Männer aus vielen verschiedenen geographischen und kirchlichen Perspektiven betrachtet. Die Veranstaltung zur Vorbereitung auf die Vollversammlung fand vom 29. bis 30. August direkt vor der 11. ÖRK-Vollversammlung in Karlsruhe, Deutschland, statt.
