Bringing together representatives from the Roman Catholic Church and the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Joint Working Group between the WCC and the Roman Catholic Church met online on 21 February for its first executive meeting.

The World Council of Churches (WCC), with the Laudato Si’ Movement and other partners, will cohost a seminar in Assisi, Italy, on 15-16 March. Entitled "The Feast of Creation and the Mystery of Creation: Ecumenism, Theology, Liturgy, and Signs of the Times in Dialogue,” the event aims to deepen the collective understanding and appreciation of the Feast of Creation, observed on 1 September.

The World Council of Churches and ACT Alliance, on 4 March, will host a 90-minute discussion on humanitarian needs. The purpose will be to hear and discuss the views of faith-based organisations on what constitutes “humanitarian need” and how best to prioritize between different needs and contexts.

التقى الأمين العام لمجلس الكنائس العالمي، القس الدكتور "جيري بيلاي"، ببطاركة ورؤساء الكنائس في القدس في 17 شباط/فبراير، حيث قال صاحب الغبطة ثيوفيلوس الثالث، بطريرك القدس، في خطابه الترحيبي أن الأمين العام لمجلس الكنائس العالمي اسُتقبل بامتنان "في هذا الوقتالصعب والمعقد لجميع شعوب هذه المنطقة، وخاصة المجتمع المسيحي في الأراضي المقدسة".
