«Si vous êtes pour la justice climatique, dites AMEN!» Voici ce que scandaient les jeunes, qui manifestaient dans l’espace d’exposition du Brunnen lors de la 11e Assemblée du Conseil œcuménique des Églises à Karlsruhe, en Allemagne, le 2 septembre 2022.

El primer día de septiembre, el día ortodoxo de oración por la creación y el inicio del Tiempo para la Creación celebrado por la comunidad ecuménica, los participantes en la 11^a Asamblea del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) se reunieron para la oración matutina recordando el deber de los creyentes de actuar como custodios y beneficiarios de la creación de Dios. El acto litúrgico central del servicio de oración fue mezclar jarros de agua de cada región habitada de la Tierra, juntando en un solo lugar las aguas, como símbolo del acto primero de la creación en Génesis 1:9.

Rappelant aux fidèles leur devoir d’agir comme des intendants et intendantes et des bénéficiaires de la création de Dieu, l’Assemblée du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) s’est réunie pour prier le 1ᵉʳ septembre, jour de prière pour la création chez les orthodoxes et début du Temps pour la création observé dans le monde œcuménique. Le point d’orgue de l’action liturgique a été le mélange d’eaux provenant de chaque région habitée de la Terre, dans «un rassemblement des eaux» reflétant l’acte de création décrit dans Genèse 1,9.

Als Erinnerung an den Auftrag gläubiger Menschen, als Fürsprecher und Begünstigte von Gottes Schöpfung zu handeln, hat sich die Vollversammlung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) am ersten Tag des Septembers, dem Orthodoxen Tag des Gebetes für die Schöpfung und Beginn der ökumenischen Zeit der Schöpfung, zu einer Morgenandacht zusammengefunden. Das eigentliche Ereignis dieser liturgischen Aktion bestand darin, dass Teilnehmende das Wasser, das sie in Krügen und Behältern aus jeder bewohnten Region der Erde mitgebracht hatten, in einem einzigen Gefäß gesammelt haben („Gathering of Waters“) und sich damit auf den Schöpfungsakt beziehen, wie er in Gen 1,9 beschrieben wird.

El 1 de septiembre señala el comienzo del Tiempo de la Creación, cinco semanas del calendario litúrgico reconocidas por la comunidad del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) y, desde 2015, también por la Iglesia Católica. Am 1. September beginnt die „Zeit der Schöpfung“ als eine fünf Wochen währende Veranstaltung im liturgischen Kalender der Gemeinschaft des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) und seit 2015 auch der katholischen Kirche. Die Zeit der Schöpfung ist eine besondere religiöse Manifestation der Sorge um den Planeten und der Sorge um das Überleben der Erde, wie wir sie kennen.

Le 1er septembre marque le début de la Saison de la Création, cinq semaines dans le calendrier liturgique reconnues par la communauté fraternelle du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) et, depuis 2015, par l’Église catholique. Il s’agit d’une expression, principalement religieuse, des préoccupations pour la planète et quant aux menaces à la survie de la Terre telle que nous la connaissons.

Recalling believers’ mandate to act as stewards and beneficiaries of God’s creation, the World Council of Churches (WCC) Assembly gathered in morning prayer on the first day of September, the Orthodox Day of Prayer for Creation and the start of an ecumenically observed Season of Creation. At the heart of the liturgical action was a combining of vessels of water from each inhabited region of the earth, a “gathering of the waters” reflecting the earliest act of creation in Genesis 1:9.

September 1 marks the beginning of the Season of Creation, five weeks in the liturgical calendar recognized by the fellowship of the World Council of Churches (WCC) and, since 2015, by the Catholic Church.
