Bossey alumni from Thailand continue their strong ties

Alumni from the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Institute Bossey who live in Thailand are continuing to foster ecumenical activities and relations. Every year for a decade, they have offered a local orientation for new students from Thailand who are headed to Bossey.

Festivities and dialogue launch new WCC journal

A lively interchange on the rapidly changing landscape of interreligious encounter marked the launch of a new journal at the Ecumenical Centre on Friday, 7 February. The occasion was the unveiling of the new incarnation of Current Dialogue, the pioneering World Council of Churches periodical on interreligious dialogue. Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), welcomed the new publishing arrangement as an historic moment for the ecumenical movement, through which Current Dialogue joins the WCC’s other two academic journals, noting that the journal brings a distinctive ecumenical perspective to the growing field.

“The Africa we pray for” - WCC and the AACC launch youth essay competition

The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the All Africa Conference of Churches (AACC) are calling upon young Africans to participate in an essay contest for the African regional publication on Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace. Africans from the continent and the diaspora up to 35 years of age are invited to send their texts by 15 October 2019.

Reflection day held on the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute 2021

The World Council of Churches (WCC) programme on Ecumenical Theological Education invited WCC staff and representatives of member churches in Germany, such as Rev. Sabine Udodesku of the Evangelical Church in Germany, who attended the meeting on behalf of Bishop Petra Bosse-Huber, and ecumenical partners to launch the reflection process on the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute at the 11th Assembly of the WCC in Karlsruhe in September 2021.
