Forty retired World Council of Churches (WCC) staff gathered at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey on 22 August to celebrate the WCC’s 75th anniversary and to receive greetings and reflections from WCC general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay.

Siete estudiantes de seis países diferentes que han convivido en el Instituto Ecuménico de Bossey celebraron el final de su curso intensivo en estudios interreligiosos con una ceremonia de graduación. El tema del programa de este año fue “Salud y plenitud de vida en el judaísmo, el cristianismo y el islam”.

Eine Diplomfeier bildete den Abschluss eines intensiven Lehrgangs in interreligiösen Studien am Ökumenischen Institut in Bossey, wo sieben Studierende aus sechs Ländern zusammen gelebt und studiert haben. Das diesjährige Programm stand unter dem Motto „Gesundheit und Ganzheit des Lebens im Judentum, Christentum und Islam“.

Une cérémonie de remise des diplômes a marqué la fin d’un cours intensif d’études interreligieuses pour sept étudiant-e-s de six pays différents qui ont vécu ensemble à l’Institut œcuménique de Bossey. Le thème du cours de cette année était «Santé et plénitude de la vie dans le judaïsme, le christianisme et l’Islam.»

A graduation ceremony marked the end of an intensive course in interreligious studies for seven students from six different countries who lived together at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey. The theme of this year’s program was “Health and wholeness of life in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.”

Graduates of the 2023 Certificate of Advanced Studies in Interreligious Studies at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey sent a message to the world as they completed their academic pursuits and prepared to return to their diverse homes and faith traditions.

El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias presentó el 28 de julio el documento “Building Interreligious Solidarity in Our Wounded World. The Way of ‘Common Formation’” (Construyendo solidaridad interreligiosa en nuestro mundo herido. El camino de la ‘formación común’) durante el curso de Estudios Interreligiosos en el Instituto Ecuménico de Bossey.

Der Ökumenische Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK) hat am 28. Juli während des Zertifikatkurses in interreligiösen Studien im Ökumenischen Institut in Bossey die Broschüre „Building Interreligious Solidarity in Our Wounded World. The Way of Common Formation“ (Interreligiöser Solidaritätsaufbau in einer verwundeten Welt. Der Weg der gemeinsamen Ausbildung) präsentiert.

Le 28 juillet, à l’occasion du cours d’études interreligieuses, à l’Institut œcuménique de Bossey, le Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) a présenté le document intitulé Édifier la solidarité interreligieuse dans notre monde blessé. La voie de la formation commune («Building Interreligious Solidarity in Our Wounded World. The Way of Common Formation»).

El rector iraní Ayatollah M. Seyed Abolhassan Nawab y la Sra. Zahra Sedigh, de la Misión iraní ante la ONU, visitaron el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) el 27 de julio, para hablar de educación y formación, así como de la importancia de reforzar el papel de la cooperación interreligiosa.

Seyyed Abolhassan Nawab et Mme Zahra Sedigh, de la mission iranienne auprès des Nations Unies, ont visité le Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE), le 27 juillet, pour évoquer l’éducation et la formation ainsi que l’importance du renforcement du rôle de la coopération interreligieuse.

Am 27. Juli besuchten der iranische Rektor Ayatollah M. Seyyed Abolhassan Nawab und Zahra Sedigh von der iranischen Mission bei den Vereinten Nationen den Ökumenischen Rat der Kirchen (ÖRK), um über Aus- und Weiterbildung sowie über die Bedeutung der interreligiösen Zusammenarbeit und deren Stärkung zu sprechen.

The World Council of Churches launched the document “Building Interreligious Solidarity in Our Wounded World. The Way of Common Formation” on 28 July, during the Interreligious Studies course at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey.

Iranian rector Ayatollah M. Seyyed Abolhassan Nawab and Ms Zahra Sedigh, from the Iranian Mission to the UN, visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 27 July, discussing education and formation, as well as the importance of strengthening the role of interreligious cooperation.  

The annual interreligious summer course opened in the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Institute at Bossey on 25 July, ushering seven students from six different countries into an exploration of the theme “Health and Wholeness of Life in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.”

Eleven students from eight different countries are enhancing their English-speaking skills with an intensive summer course at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey. All the students will then pursue a Complementary Certificate in Ecumenical Studies, Master of Advanced Studies in Ecumenical Studies, or a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Ecumenical Studies.
