Zum Abschluss des Globalen Christlichen Forums in Ghana veröffentlichten die Teilnehmenden am 19. April eine Botschaft, die sich damit befasste, unsere „Wir“- und „Sie“-Haltungen zu überwinden und zu zeigen, wie wir inspiriert werden können, uns gemeinsam für die Wiederherstellung der Welt einzusetzen. 

Le Forum chrétien mondial s’est achevé le 19 avril au Ghana avec la publication d’un message dans lequel il est question de passer outre la dichotomie du «nous» et «eux» et d’analyser ce qui peut nous inciter à agir pour restaurer le monde.

As the Global Christian Forum closed in Ghana on 19 April, the gathering shared a message focusing on moving beyond a posture of “us” and “them,” and on how we can be inspired to act together for the restoration of the world. 

The Global Christian Forum, with its fourth global gathering underway in Ghana, is marking its 25^thanniversary at a time when the world is in dire need of justice, reconciliation, and unity.

En una audiencia anual durante la Semana de Oración por la Unidad de los Cristianos, el obispo Bo-Göran Åstrand de la Iglesia Luterana Evangélica de Finlandia regaló un par de guantes al papa Francisco que describió como “un modesto obsequio para mantener calientes las manos del papa en un mundo, por lo demás, frío”.

Anlässlich einer jährlichen Audienz während der Gebetswoche für die Einheit der Christen überreichte Bischof Bo-Göran Åstrand von der Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche Finnlands dem Papst ein Paar Handschuhe, die er als ein bescheidenes Geschenk bezeichnete, „das die Hände des Papstes in einer ansonsten kalten Welt wärmen soll.“ 

À l’occasion d’une audience accordée chaque année durant la Semaine de prière pour l’unité des chrétiens, l’évêque Bo-Göran Åstrand de l’Église évangélique luthérienne de Finlande a offert au pape François une paire de gants, décrite comme «un modeste présent pour réchauffer les mains du pape dans un monde froid par ailleurs».

In an annual audience during the ongoing Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, Bishop Bo-Göran Åstrand of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland gifted a pair of gloves to Pope Francis, described as “a modest gift, to warm the Pope’s hands in an otherwise cold world.” 

The World Council of Churches (WCC) Faith and Order Commission met for the first full meeting, which took place on 27 and 29 November, and 1 and 4 December online. 

A new publication, “Towards a Global Vision of the Church, Volume II,” was released during a webinar on 14 December hosted by the World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission on Faith and Order.
