Chateau de Bossey thriving as lives are transformed

The World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Institute at Bossey was inaugurated in 1946 at the scenic Château de Bossey—and its thriving in unprecedented ways today. It draws not only students but families, theologians, and vacationers who visit the Hotel & Conference Center for many different reasons.

La organización Pan Para el Mundo (Brot für die Welt) celebró 70 años de servicio a la iglesia y el ecumenismo a través de su programa de becas intereclesiásticas, y el Secretario General del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), Revdo. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, expresó su agradecimiento por los 3 500 graduados/as y beneficiarios/as desde 1952.

Alors que Brot für die Welt (Pain pour le Monde) célébrait 70 ans de service apporté à l’Église et à l’œcuménisme par l’intermédiaire de son programme de bourses d’études interconfessionnelles, le secrétaire général du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE), le pasteur Jerry Pillay, a remercié pour les quelque 3 500 anciens élèves et bénéficiaires depuis 1952.

Students from 19 countries complete ecumenical studies in Bossey

At the graduation ceremony of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Institute at Bossey on 27 January, 27 students received certificates for their completed studies in ecumenism that prepared them to become future leaders and ambassadors of the ecumenical movement.

Reflections from GETI underscore friendship coupled with knowledge

Over 100 people including students, alumni, instructors, and guests from academic and theological institutions in Germany, Switzerland, and France gathered together to hear reflections as part of the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute (GETI) program culmination on 7 September during the World Council of Churches 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe.
