Die Jugendkonferenz vor der Vollversammlung wurde vom India Peace Centre unter dem Motto „Die Zeit ist gekommen: Die Stunde der Jugend, eine friedliche und nachhaltige Welt aufzubauen“ organisiert.

 

Der Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, nimmt vom 21. bis 24. April an der 29. Generalversammlung des Nationalen Rates der Kirchen in Indien im Henry Martyn Institute in Hyderabad, teil. 

„Die Nachricht vom Tod von Prof. Dr. Julio Hector de Santa Ana, einem angesehen Fachmann für ökumenische Befreiungstheologie, hat uns alle sehr traurig gemacht“, erklärte Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, der Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK). De Santa Ana starb am 17. April in Genf, Schweiz.
