Bossey gathers students for interreligious dialogue

Young students from all over the world were welcomed to the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Institute in Bossey, Switzerland on Tuesday for the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Interreligious Studies.
The theme of the 2018/2019 academic year is “Engaging for just and participatory societies - belongingness in Judaism, Christianity and Islam”.

Conversations at the World Council of Churches (WCC) exhibition booth at the Kirchentag showed there is a growing interest in ecumenical movement among German churches. The topics of a particularly high interest were the Thursdays in Black campaign and studies at the Ecumenical institute in Bossey.

Vom 12. bis 15. Mai wird am Ökumenischen Institut in Bossey bei Genf, Schweiz, eine internationale Konsultation „Grüne Reformation: Umweltschutz, Religion, Ausbildung und die Zukunft der ökumenischen Bewegung“ stattfinden. Organisiert wird sie vom Programm für ökumenische Theologie-Ausbildung des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Evangelischen Missionswerk in Deutschland.

Green Reformation: seeds of hope for an ecological theology

An international consultation on "Green Reformation: Ecology, Religion, Education and the Future of the Ecumenical Movement,” organised by the World Council of Churches (WCC) department on Ecumenical Theological Education in cooperation with the Association of Protestant Churches and Missions in Germany, will take place 12-15 May, at the Ecumenical Institute Bossey, near Geneva, Switzerland.

Eager ecumenists embark on new missions

Monday 28 January was a very special day for 25-year-old student Kezia Wairata from Jakarta, Indonesia. Along with 30 dedicated peers she received her diploma in advanced studies of ecumenism at the WCC Ecumenical Institute in Bossey, Switzerland.
