Durante la visita de la delegación de dirigentes del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) a Ucrania que tuvo lugar en mayo se celebró un servicio ecuménico de oración en Bucha, a las afueras de Kiev, el 12 de mayo. El servicio, oficiado por los dirigentes del CMI, con la participación del secretario general del CMI, Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay; el moderador del Comité Central del CMI, el obispo Heinrich Bedford-Strohm, y el arzobispo Vicken Aykazian, así como de miembros del Consejo Ucraniano de Iglesias y Organizaciones Religiosas (UCCRO), tuvo lugar en la Iglesia ortodoxa de San Andrés de Bucha.
