Statement by the Youth Office of the Sudan Council of Churches

The Bible says: ¹⁴ if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.  ” 2 Chronicles 7:14

These days, since last week, our country is going through difficult historical moments that determine our fate due to the continuous events between two sides.  Bloody periods as a result of the clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, this incident led to the killing of many sons and daughters of one country and displacement of hundreds of citizens to different place.  This war resulted to the exit of many humanitarian institutions from service, such as hospitals, markets, road closures, stopping education, ....etc

What about our sick and wounded!

What about the future of our children!

Sudan concerns us all!

Therefore, as an initiative of the Sudanese Council of Churches youth, we ask the two parties to the conflict and urge the partners to stop the war

1- Stopping the war is a unique choice to achieve the slogans of the revolution and serve the people of your country.

2 - The dangers of continuing this process will inevitably lead the country to a very dangerous turn and we will lose many lives due to lack of food, the spread of diseases, insecurity, ….etc

3 - Yes to peace as the only opportunity for self-realization in building the desired country.

4- We demand the opening of humanitarian corridors so that citizens can be evacuated from places of war.

5 - We hope to return to the voice of reason, the leaders of our country, and we feel every pain and to put all into prayers and supplicate

Our condolences to our families for the loss of our dear Sudanese people, and we ask God to heal our wounded.

We congratulate all Sudanese people on Eid Al-Fitr.
