Zum Jahresauftakt empfing der ÖRK am 13. Januar Jürgen Moltmann einen Tag lang zu Vorträgen und Gesprächen im Ökumenischen Zentrum in Genf. Dabei ging Moltmann auch auf Fragen und Bemerkungen zu seinem letzten Buch „Der lebendige Gott und die Fülle des Lebens“ ein, dessen englische Fassung im Dezember von WCC-Publications veröffentlicht wurde.

He also responded to comments and questions on his new book, The Living God and the Fullness of Life (WCC Publications, 2016).

El inicio de un nuevo año de trabajo en el Centro Ecuménico de Ginebra estuvo marcado por la visita del respetado teólogo alemán Jürgen Moltmann, quien el 13 de enero presidió una jornada de presentaciones y debates como invitado del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI), además de responder a los comentarios y preguntas sobre su nuevo libro, The Living God and the Fullness of Life (El Dios viviente y la plenitud de la vida, Publicaciones del CMI, 2016).

He also responded to comments and questions on his new book, The Living God and the Fullness of Life (WCC Publications, 2016).

Noted theologian Jürgen Moltmann will visit the Ecumenical Centre, Geneva, on Wednesday, 13 January, to offer a public lecture and to participate in meetings with staff about the work of the WCC and other ecumenical organizations in the centre. Moltmann’s latest work, The Living God and the Fullness of Life, has recently been published by WCC Publications. He will speak at 4 pm on “The Future of Theology” and afterward sign books and greet guests.

As the WCC promotes the vision of a “pilgrimage of justice and peace”, four students from the Ecumenical Institute in Bossey, Switzerland, share their understanding of justice and peace and how they embarked on a pilgrimage of their own.

Its anniversary this week is especially timely given the current emergency in Japan which echoes some of Chernobyl’s hard lessons. To learn them would honour those who suffer from the past and could save lives in the future.
