Moments of rest on the pilgrimage

When recalling the 2013 WCC General Assembly in Busan, South Korea, one of the things than often comes to my mind is Madang. In Korean culture, the Madang is a space in the traditional Korean household, where the members of a larger family meet not only to discuss serious issues, but also to spend time together, to rest, to laugh, and simply to enjoy each other’s company.

Ecumenical educators plan global institute

Starting preparations for a Global Ecumenical Theological Institute in the context of the 2018 World Mission Conference in Africa was a tangible result of a meeting of 20 ecumenical educators from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and the Pacific. They met from 22-24 May in Halle (Germany) at the invitation of the World Council of Churches project on Ecumenical Theological Education.

Globethics publishes volume on prospects and challenges for the ecumanical movement

A volume entitled Prospects and Challenges for the Ecumenical Movement in the 21st Century has recently been published by Globethics Publications. The publication consists of a collection of final papers which have been delivered by GETI students after their return from the World Council of Churches' Assembly, and has been edited by David Field and Jutta Koslowski.

WCC 부산 총회 백서 발간 완료

WCC 제10차 총회 1주년을 맞아 WCC 부산 총회 백서 발간이 완료되었다. 백서는 한글판(512쪽), 영문판(310쪽), 화보(81쪽) 등 모두 세 종류로 구성되어 있다. 올해 2월 김삼환, 박종화, 이영훈, 손인웅, 장상 등 5명의 공동위원장과 김종훈 편찬위원장을 비롯한 40명의 편찬위원, 장상 집필위원장을 비롯한 38명의 집필위원 등 모두 83명으로 구성된 'WCC 제10차 총회 백서발간위원회'가 조직된 후 약 9개월 동안의 활동이 마무리 되었다.
