Systematically challenged to mutual love

This year, I received as a gift the book “My Ecumenical Journey” by the founder of the Focolare Movement Chiara Lubich (1920-2008). The compilation of reflections about ecumenism are accompanying my morning meditation before I start to work.
One year ago, I joined the communication department of the World Council of Churches, a membership organization that works for unity between churches from different Christian denominations.

Archbishop Anastasios receives Klaus Hemmerle 2020 Prize

Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania was honored with the Klaus Hemmerle 2020 Prize in Germany for his contribution to interreligious efforts for peace and harmony.

During an ecumenical ceremony attended by representatives of the Focolare community and by Cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, Archbishop Anastasios accepted the award on 14 February at the historic Aachen Cathedral in Germany.

L’archevêque Anastasios de Tirana, Durrës et toute l’Albanie a été honoré par le Prix Klaus Hemmerle 2020 en Allemagne pour sa contribution aux efforts interreligieux de paix et d’harmonie.

Au cours d’une cérémonie œcuménique à laquelle ont participé des représentants de la communauté des Focolari et le cardinal Kurt Koch, président du Conseil pontifical pour la promotion de l'unité des chrétiens, l’archevêque Anastasios a reçu cette distinction le 14 février dans la cathédrale historique d’Aix-la-Chapelle en Allemagne.

All societies’ origins from ‘there and here’ discussed at special day in Geneva

An adage that some people ignore these days is that mobility has shaped each human society, and a recent meeting of the Maison Internationale des Associations in Geneva focused on this.

Many colours and flavours of humanity assembled on 7 April for a lively day of discussions and exchanges about human mobility where most views were celebrating the social phenomenon at an event titled “Tout d’ailleurs, tous d’ici” (All from elsewhere, all from here).

“We live for each other” – Focolare meeting of bishops gathers in Sweden

“We are united in a pact of love, that encourages us to live in such a way that Christian unity is not only a dream, but may come closer each day,” said His Eminence Francis Xavier Kriengsak Kovithavanij, archbishop of Bangkok and Cardinal-Priest of Santa Maria Addolorata, as 40 bishops from 18 churches in 12 different countries gather in Sigtuna, Sweden, this week.

«Nous sommes unis dans un pacte d’amour qui nous encourage à vivre de façon à ce que l’unité des chrétiens ne soit pas seulement un rêve, mais quelque chose dont nous nous rapprochons chaque jour», a déclaré Son Éminence François-Xavier Kriengsak Kovithavanij, archevêque de Bangkok et cardinal-prêtre de l’église Santa Maria Addolorata, à l’occasion de l’événement qui rassemble cette semaine 40 évêques représentant 18 Églises de 12 pays différents à Sigtuna, en Suède.
