As the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly nears, Christians across Asia are ready to engage and bring Asian concerns and perspectives to the table. Last Tuesday, a week prior to the opening of the assembly, more than 200 participants from all over the Asian continent gathered online in a pre-assembly meeting to learn more about the assembly and reflect on pertinent issues to highlight in Karlsruhe.

Four World Council of Churches (WCC) pre-assemblies are about to convene, drawing hundreds of people eager to, in a safe space, share their honest reflections and life challenges. An Ecumenical Youth Gathering on 27-30 August will convene a circle of young agents of change for the ecumenical movement’s present and future just days before the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany. 

The Ecumenical Youth Gathering will comprise three tracks: one especially for young delegates to the WCC 11th Assembly, one for stewards, and one for representatives of WCC member churches and ecumenical partners.
