The World Council of Churches (WCC), with the Laudato Si’ Movement and other partners, will cohost a seminar in Assisi, Italy, on 15-16 March. Entitled "The Feast of Creation and the Mystery of Creation: Ecumenism, Theology, Liturgy, and Signs of the Times in Dialogue,” the event aims to deepen the collective understanding and appreciation of the Feast of Creation, observed on 1 September.

Organised by the Interfaith Liaison Committee, a platform co-chaired by the World Council of Churches (WCC). The online event will feature prominent voices in the field in a conversation on climate action and the role of faith communities.

From September 1 to October 4, Christians around the world are praying and caring for creation. It’s the “Season of Creation”. The beginning and the end date of Season of Creation are linked with the concern for creation in the Eastern and the Western traditions of Christianity, respectively.

An ecumenical prayer on 28 July will express love and solidarity for the churches and people of Sudan.

On 5 June 2023, WCC and partners will introduce, through a webinar, the official Season of Creation Celebration Guide with a wealth of resources for prayer, sustainability initiatives, and advocacy.

On 4 October at 5 pm CEST, ecumenical youth leaders from around the globe will lead the closing prayer and reflection to celebrate the closing of the Season of Creation on this year’s theme, “Listen to the Voice of Creation.”

The pre-assembly with the leadership of specialized ministries is the opportunity to articulate a common response to the most pressing issues of our time and to propose common action as we move together toward the WCC assembly in Karlsruhe.

A webinar on 1 March—Zero Discrimination Day—will explore the theme “COVID-19, Casteism and Caste discrimination: How to mitigate pandemic-reinforced inequality and discrimination.”

The World Council of Churches, ACT Alliance, Lutheran World Federation and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are proposing a panel discussion to highlight the work of faith communities and especially indigenous, women and young faith leaders in mobilizing collective global action to protect nature and biodiversity and deliver critical reflections on enhanced biodiversity governance for climate resilience and posterity.

A upcoming webinar will offer speakers’ insights on “Food from Oceans, Rivers and Lakes.” Offered on 28 January , the webinar will explore the vital role of blue, or aquatic, foods in the wellbeing and livelihood of 3 billion people in the world. But the health of the water bodies is being degraded by climate change,  pollution, unsustainable overfishing, and mining.

Book Launch webinar with title “Contemporary ecotheology, climate justice and environmental stewardship in world religions” (ECOTHEE. VOL. 6) from the 6th edition of Ecological Theology and Environmental Ethics (ECOTHEE) conference, that was held under the Auspices of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and with the support of the World Council of Churches (WCC) programme on Care for Creation, sustainability and climate justice (Ecological and Economic Justice) at the Orthodox Academy of Crete.
