World Health Day Prayer Sunday 7 April 2024

With the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle, we pray for the people and churches of Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.

World Health Day is April 7 when the World Health Organization commemorates its 76th anniversary. This year the theme is 'My Health, My Right, which reminds us to advocate for equitable access to health services and work towards a healthier, more inclusive world.

O God, you wipe away all tears from our faces. You have swallowed up death. Awaken and strengthen within us that hope into which you have called us: nothing will separate us from your love. Let us be glad and rejoice! We ask this all in the name of Jesus, our Saviour and Lord. Lord, have mercy.

O Lord, open our lips and our mouth shall proclaim your praise. O Lord, give us the joy of your saving help and sustain us with your life-giving Spirit. Glory to the Father, and to the + Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
