Zum Abschluss des Globalen Christlichen Forums in Ghana veröffentlichten die Teilnehmenden am 19. April eine Botschaft, die sich damit befasste, unsere „Wir“- und „Sie“-Haltungen zu überwinden und zu zeigen, wie wir inspiriert werden können, uns gemeinsam für die Wiederherstellung der Welt einzusetzen. 

Le Forum chrétien mondial s’est achevé le 19 avril au Ghana avec la publication d’un message dans lequel il est question de passer outre la dichotomie du «nous» et «eux» et d’analyser ce qui peut nous inciter à agir pour restaurer le monde.

As the Global Christian Forum closed in Ghana on 19 April, the gathering shared a message focusing on moving beyond a posture of “us” and “them,” and on how we can be inspired to act together for the restoration of the world. 

The Global Christian Forum, with its fourth global gathering underway in Ghana, is marking its 25^thanniversary at a time when the world is in dire need of justice, reconciliation, and unity.

Samson Waweru, un keniano con discapacidad visual, ocupa el cargo de director ejecutivo de la Sociedad de Invidentes de Kenia, en virtud del cual es responsable de ejecutar el mandato integral de asistir a las personas invidentes y con discapacidad visual de Kenia. Sus objetivos combinan los ámbitos de la prevención, la educación, la rehabilitación, el empleo y el bienestar general. Más allá de sus responsabilidades profesionales, Samson también trabaja en calidad de vicepresidente de la Catedral de San Cosme y San Damián de Nairobi, lo que demuestra su dedicación tanto a las obligaciones profesionales como espirituales.

Samson Waweru, ein sehbehinderter Kenianer, ist Geschäftsführer der Kenya Society for the Blind. In dieser Funktion ist er für die Ausführung eines umfangreichen Programms verantwortlich, das blinde und sehbehinderte Menschen in Kenia unterstützt. Zu seinen wichtigsten Aufgaben gehören Vorbeugung, Bildung, Rehabilitation, Beschäftigung und generell die Fürsorge für die Betroffenen. Neben seinen beruflichen Aufgaben übernimmt Samson ebenfalls die Funktion des stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden der Kirche des Heiligen Kosmas und Damian in Nairobi und verdeutlicht damit, wie wichtig für ihn sowohl seine beruflichen als auch seine spirituellen Verpflichtungen sind.
