A webinar, “Safe spaces for young people in faith communities,” on 25 April will review some practices of “safe spaces,” as well as discuss their definition, characteristics, and purposes. 

The World Social Forum (WSF) 2024 is scheduled to take place from February 15-19 in Nepal. The WSF serves as an open space and platform for the convergence of a diverse range of participants, including social movements, laborers, farmers, civil society groups, marginalized communities, and those affected by the impacts of neoliberal capitalism and privatization.

This webinar will explore the intersections of food, land, and racial injustice and discern key lessons from initiatives and good practices that work to overcome the impact of racial injustice and inequity on food sovereignty. 

The webinar will discuss the impact of climate change on food, food systems and livelihoods. Key input will give information regarding negotiations towards developing meaningful guidance to inform climate action in agriculture.

Observing a Weekend of Prayer and Action against Hunger on 16-17 October 2021, the World Council of Churches and a range of ecumenical organizations and partners invite people and churches around the globe to pray and act for an end to hunger.

The webinar will provide an opportunity for critical analysis and feedback on the UN Food Systems Summit process and summit. (Pre-summit took place in July and the Summit on 23 September). 

The Foundation Dialogue for Peace is organizing a dialogue on “COVID-19 and Consequences for Global Multilateral Cooperation” on 30 August in Geneva.
