The World Council of Churches (WCC) Commission on Faith and Order will convene in Tondano, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, from 2-7 February for its first in-person meeting since being elected by the WCC central committee in June 2023. 

In order to strengthen the voice of the churches with regards to global economics, a group of 20 current and future leaders representing the churches will have the opportunity to attend the Ecumenical School on Governance, Economics and Management (GEM) for an Economy of Life in Jakarta, Indonesia from 19-30 August 2019.

The global ecumenical Indigenous Spirituality and Theology Consultation is an activity of the WCC Indigenous Peoples’ Programme and under the WCC Mission from the Margins Programmatic Area. It is hosted by Nungalinya Theological College which is an ecumenical theological education and learning center, situated in Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia.

This two-week residential training programme is for young leaders aged between 20-35 years from the WCC member churches from Asia. Centred on the theme “Passionately Christian and Compassionately Interreligious” the training will equip participants to engage in ministries of justice and peace in pluralistic contexts from an interreligious perspective.

From September 1st to 4 October, Christians around the world are praying and caring for creation. It’s the “Season of Creation”. The beginning and the end date of Season of Creation are linked with the concern for creation in the Eastern and the Western traditions of Christianity, respectively.
