A significant publication on ecumenical diakonia, providing a common platform for the churches and ecumenical partners worldwide for acting and reflecting together, was presented today by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and ACT Alliance.

La publication conjointe du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE) et de l’Alliance ACT propose des ressources pour renforcer les capacités des Églises dans le domaine de la diaconie et accroître la coopération avec leurs partenaires œcuméniques. Elle sera présentée en ligne le 9 juin à 15h 00 CET.

Dans une déclaration publique, le comité exécutif du Conseil œcuménique des Églises a réitéré la nécessité d'un cessez-le-feu en Ukraine et la nécessité de s'attaquer à l'insécurité alimentaire croissante dans le monde.

Lors d’une réunion de planification préalable à l’assemblée et d’une séance de réseautage informelle, le bureau de l’assemblée local de Karlsruhe a organisé une journée spéciale, le 17 mai, pour discuter de l’état actuel de la planification de la 11^e Assemblée du Conseil œcuménique des Églises (COE). Plus de 150 personnes y ont participé.

A briefing on 25 May at 12.00-13.30 CET will feature experts who will offer crucial updates on the global food crisis as well as a summary of urgent response from faith-based group, civil society, and governments.

At a pre-assembly planning meeting and informal networking session, the Karlsruhe local assembly office hosted a programme on 17 May to discuss the current status of planning for the World Council of Churches (WCC) 11th Assembly. More than 150 people attended.
