The Global Christian Forum, with its fourth global gathering underway in Ghana, is marking its 25^thanniversary at a time when the world is in dire need of justice, reconciliation, and unity.

Samson Waweru, ein sehbehinderter Kenianer, ist Geschäftsführer der Kenya Society for the Blind. Neben seinen beruflichen Aufgaben übernimmt Samson ebenfalls die Funktion des stellvertretenden Vorsitzenden der Kirche des Heiligen Kosmas und Damian in Nairobi und verdeutlicht damit, wie wichtig für ihn sowohl seine beruflichen als auch seine spirituellen Verpflichtungen sind.

Samson Waweru, a visually impaired Kenyan, holds the position of executive director at the Kenya Society for the Blind. In this capacity, he is responsible for executing a comprehensive mandate aimed at assisting blind and visually impaired individuals in Kenya. His focus encompasses areas such as prevention, education, rehabilitation, employment, and overall welfare. Beyond his professional duties, Samson also serves as the vice-chair of the St Cosmas and Damianos Cathedral in Nairobi, showcasing his dedication to both his professional and spiritual obligations.

„Ich habe spastische quadriplegische Zerebralparese, das heißt, meine Gliedmaßen sind durch meine Zerebralparese stark beeinträchtigt. Churches should promote disability studies in theological institutions and recruit persons into ordained ministry, youth with disabilities urged after attending the 12^th General Assembly of the All Africa Conference of Churches in Abuja, Nigeria.

Burundi recently witnessed a significant event aimed at fostering inclusivity and addressing the impact of climate change on persons with disabilities. During the National Dialogue on Disability-Inclusive Climate Change Policies and Programs last week, the Friends Church in Burundi embarked on a mission to support and uplift women and girls with disabilities in Nyabihanga, Gitega Province. 

Christians in New York City opened the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity on 18 January by participating in a worship service at the Interchurch Center, an office building that houses many church-related organizations and many others focused on intercultural and religious exchange. The service was infused with themes of justice and unity, both from a perspective of African-American history and the urging of Christians today to put their faith into action.
