On Thursday 26 September at 12:30 the photo exhibition “And It Is Good” will be launched in the lobby of the Ecumenical Centre, 150 route de Ferney, Geneva. The exhibition pairs photos of nature and creation with verses from the Bible.

The exhibition is launched in New York and Geneva in the week of the Climate Action Summit, to draw attention to the importance of biodiversity affirm the creation is good.

Die Vorsitzende des Zentralausschusses des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Dr. Agnes Abuom, hielt die Eröffnungsrede auf der Tagung des ÖRK-Exekutivausschusses, die vom 22. – 28. Mai im Ökumenischen Institut Bossey stattfindet.
„Wir sind mit zahlreichen Erwartungen und dem Wunsch hierher gekommen, Erfahrungen aus unseren Kirchen, Gemeinschaften und Ländern auszutauschen“, sagte Abuom. „Es ist meine Hoffnung, dass dies auf formalen und informalen Wegen hier während unserer gemeinsam verbrachten Zeit in Bossey geschieht.“

Two Norwegian world leaders met in Geneva to discuss environmental issues and open up for closer collaboration. Erik Solheim, UN Environment executive director and under-secretary-general of the United Nations visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) in the Ecumenical Centre in Geneva, Switzerland on 10 April, where he discussed with WCC general secretary Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit both the meaning and importance of working together on environmental issues to bring hope to the world.
