Participants will learn about the ways “fake news” is spread. Through case studies and investigative journalism, panelists will share about the reality of disinformation and misinformation and its impact. Discussion will focus on how churches have been involved – and what more they can do to prevent the spread of misleading and inaccurate news. The webinar will also provide a basis for future engagement of the churches on this topic.
The December 5 webinar is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office and builds on previous work such as “Communication for Social Justice in a Digital Age.”
