The theme of the assembly, “Reaching New Frontiers: Hope and Healing,” calls for Christians to interpret present times by drawing from their faith to seek healing for the world.
“We thank God for your commitment to unity, especially because your church is a product of church union,” said Sauca. “Your church is truly united across cultural, territorial, linguistic, ethnic, economic ideological boundaries.”
The United Congregational Church of Southern Africa has been a WCC member church since 1968. “I wish you God’s blessings in your deliberations at the 41st General Synod of the United Congregational Church in Southern Africa,” concluded Sauca.
