Frederique Seidel, WCC senior advisor on child rights, spoke about the WCC’s Churches’ Commitments to Children, developed with UNICEF, and how children can be the centre of action to stem climate change.

“I appeal to children: Use your power as consumers and ask for food and clothes which are climate-safe,” said Seidel. “And I urge decision-makers: Let us ensure that the contractors we work with are doing their utmost to bend the CO2 emissions curve in a direction that ensures a bright future.”

The webinar, organised by World Vision, drew an exchange of experiences that highlighted the importance of a collaborative effort to put children at the centre of the climate action agenda.
