Scheduled for 20-26 April, the meeting will take place online and will address the nominations of a new moderator and new commissioners, results of the online evaluation process; along with plans for the next Faith and Order World Conference and Nicaea 2025 celebrations, which will mark the 1700th anniversary of the first Ecumenical Council at Nicaea.

Those gathered will also receive notes from study group conversations at Bossey in November 2022, as well as the minutes of the commission meeting in March 2022.

The new WCC leadership, the new Faith and Order director and the moderator will offer remarks.

Overall, this meeting will conclude the work of this commission in a spirit of celebration for the fruits of its rich theological work and will also serve as an opportunity for evaluation and sharing. The main goal is to ensure that commitment and competence to do ecumenical theology with passion for Christian unity will continue to frame the work of the commission during the nine years to come.
