As protests grow across the world over the senseless loss of migrants’ lives, the World Council of Churches (WCC) reiterated its call for the right to life for migrants, particularly in the wake of the tragic loss of lives at the Morocco-Spain border as well as in Texas (USA).

The advocacy statement of ecumenical organisations responding to the new EU Migrant Pact and the situation of migrants and refugees in Europe was received 25 September in the European Commission offices in Brussels. A World Council of Churches webinar held on 25 November with the theme “Racism, Xenophobia and discrimination in the Middle-East Context” drew enthusiastic participants from the broader region inhabited by 411 million people.
