Serge Fornerod war bis Juni 2023 Mitglied des ÖRK-Zentralauschusses und des Koordinierungsausschusses "Green Village". Er ist der neue Präsident der FAP, Fondation d'aide au Protestantisme réformé. Er hat gerade ein Buch veröffentlicht, "Les Fornerod, une famille au service de l'Eglise", in dem sich sein persönlicher Glaubensweg und sein beruflicher Werdegang kreuzen.

Rev. Serge Fornerod is a former World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee, a member of the Green Village steering committee, and the new president of the FAP Foundation for Reformed Churches. He recently published a book, Les Fornerod, une famille au service de l’Église” that details the intersection of his personal faith and professional life[1].

At the World Assembly 2023 of the United Bible Societies in October 2023, the secretary general of the World Council of Churches (WCC), Rev. Dr Jerry Pillay, and Rev. Dirk Gevers, secretary general of the United Bible Societies, celebrated the long history of cooperation between the organizations.

Applications invited for WCC Eco-School for Europe and North America region

The fifth edition of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Eco-School on Water, Food, and Climate Justice, will be held 24-31 July in Crete, Greece. Convening in-person in the Orthodox Academy of Crete, Greece, the event is open to young people under 30 years of age from the Europe and  North America region only. 

WCC expresses solidarity, urges advocacy for the human rights and self-determination of Indigenous Peoples across the world

In a public statement released by the leadership of the WCC central committee, the WCC encourages continued advocacy, with Indigenous Peoples and on their behalf in defence of their human rights, to protect the use of human rights language, to promote Indigenous Peoplesright to self-determination and the right to participate in the decision making process within churches and in society.”
