The fourth edition of the World Council of Churches (WCC) Eco-School on Water, Food and Climate Justice will be held 18-24 January 2021 in the Pacific region in five countries (Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Tuvalu & Solomon Islands).

A 5-day training programme updated and equipped 29 youth from 13 countries in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and Pacific with the latest information and experiences on key existential issues and how advocacy is conducted, rooted in the Christian faith, in working for justice and peace in communities.

“Hunger amidst plenty is the great contradiction of our time”, said Dr Ángel Ibarra, vice-minister of environment and natural resources of El Salvador, as he addressed participants of the World Council of Churches (WCC) “Eco-School on Water, Food and Climate Justice”, being held in San Salvador, 1-12 November.

Am 17. Und 18. Mai sind Vertreterinnen und Vertreter verschiedener Religionsgemeinschaften, Theologinnen und Theologen, Wirtschaftswissenschaftlerinnen und -wissenschaftler sowie Fachleute für Entwicklung und Ökumene in São Paulo (Brasilien) zum 3. Dialog über Ethik und Wirtschaft (Dialogue on Ethics and Economics) zusammengekommen. Ziel war es, eine gemeinsame Botschaft an die Staats- und Regierungschefs der G20-Staaten zu formulieren, die im Verlauf dieses Jahres in Argentinien zu einem Treffen zusammenkommen werden.

Between 17–18 May, representatives of several religious denominations, theologians, economists, and experts in development and ecumenism gathered in São Paulo, Brazil, for the 3rd Dialogue on Ethics and Economics. They aim to build a common message to G20 leaders who will meet in Argentina later this year.

Entre el 17 y el 18 de mayo, representantes de diferentes denominaciones religiosas, teólogos, economistas y expertos en desarrollo y ecumenismo se reunieron en São Paulo (Brasil) con motivo del 3er Diálogo sobre Ética y Economía con el objetivo de elaborar un mensaje común para los líderes del G20 que se reunirán en Argentina a finales de año.

Les 17 et 18 mai, les représentants de plusieurs confessions religieuses, des théologiens, des économistes et des experts en développement et en œcuménisme se sont réunis à São Paulo, au Brésil, à l’occasion du 3e Dialogue sur l’éthique et l’économie. Leur objectif est de formuler un message commun aux dirigeants du G20 qui se réuniront en Argentine dans le courant de l’année.

A delegation from the Oikotree movement travelled to Colombia from 2 to 5 February. Oikotree is a faith-based network initiated by the WCC, World Communion of Reformed Churches, and Council of World Mission that seeks to promote justice in the economy and ecology.
