Un equipo ecuménico de Burkina Faso auspiciado por la Comunidad de Chemin Neuf se ha encargado de la redacción del borrador básico de la Semana de Oración por la Unidad de los Cristianos 2024. El Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) y el Vaticano acaban de publicar el material en diversos idiomas.

An ecumenical team from Burkina Faso facilitated by the local Chemin Neuf Community has been the convener for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2024 drafting group. The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Vatican have now published the material in several languages.

The Way of ‘Common Formation’” (Construyendo solidaridad interreligiosa en nuestro mundo herido. El camino de la ‘formación común’) durante el curso de Estudios Interreligiosos en el Instituto Ecuménico de Bossey.

El rector iraní Ayatollah M. Seyed Abolhassan Nawab y la Sra. Zahra Sedigh, de la Misión iraní ante la ONU, visitaron el Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) el 27 de julio, para hablar de educación y formación, así como de la importancia de reforzar el papel de la cooperación interreligiosa.

The World Council of Churches launched the document “Building Interreligious Solidarity in Our Wounded World. The Way of Common Formation” on 28 July, during the Interreligious Studies course at the Ecumenical Institute at Bossey.

Iranian rector Ayatollah M. Seyyed Abolhassan Nawab and Ms Zahra Sedigh, from the Iranian Mission to the UN, visited the World Council of Churches (WCC) on 27 July, discussing education and formation, as well as the importance of strengthening the role of interreligious cooperation.  

In pastoral letters to His All-Holiness Patriarch Bartholomew, His Beatitude Hieronymos II, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, and the Evangelical Church of Greece, World Council of Churches general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay conveyed sincere sympathies as wildfires raged across the land.

The annual interreligious summer course opened in the World Council of Churches (WCC) Ecumenical Institute at Bossey on 25 July, ushering seven students from six different countries into an exploration of the theme “Health and Wholeness of Life in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.”
