The Middle East Council of Churches, based in Beirut, Lebanon, has been the convener for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2022 drafting group. The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Vatican have now published the material in several languages.

This Lenten season, the WCC invites its member churches to pray on Sunday 29 March for those affected by wars in the Middle East, especially in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Egypt. The season of prayer is meant to revive hope from hopelessness, taking into account the vulnerability of minority communities and the threat of losing the diversity of the social fabric in this region.

Durante esta Cuaresma, el CMI invita a sus iglesias miembros a orar el domingo, 29 de marzo por los afectados por las guerras en Oriente Medio, especialmente en Iraq, Siria, Libia y Egipto. El período de oración pretende hacer renacer la esperanza desde la desesperanza, teniendo en cuenta la vulnerabilidad de las comunidades minoritarias y la amenaza de perder la diversidad del tejido social en esta región.
