World Council of Churches (WCC) general secretary Rev. Prof. Dr Jerry Pillay met with Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, West Bank, on 19 February, urging an end to the “seemingly endless cycle of violence and suffering.”

Der Generalsekretär des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK), Pastor Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, wird im Rahmen eines Besuchs in Palästina und Israel ab dem 16. Februar mit verschiedenen ÖRK-Mitgliedskirchen, religiösen Führungspersonen und lokalen christlichen Gruppen aus der Region und auch mit dem Präsidenten der Palästinensischen Autonomiebehörde, Mahmud Abbas und Israels Präsident Isaac Herzog zusammenkommen.
