Du 28 décembre au 1er janvier dernier, des dizaines de milliers de jeunes originaires de plus de 60 pays se sont réunis à Bâle, à l'occasion de la 40e rencontre européenne de Taizé. Dans le cadre d'une nouvelle étape du Pèlerinage de confiance sur la terre, cette rencontre s'est déroulée pour la première fois dans trois pays (Suisse, Allemagne et France).

Gathering in Sibiu, Romania, the World Council of Churches (WCC) youth commission ECHOS met on 17-20 August for days of discernment on the position and role of youth in the ecumenical movement today, and to set the future path of the commission, as it journeys on the Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace.

In Taizé, the week-long Gathering for a New Solidarity, for solidarity with the poor and excluded, reached its climax on the weekend of 15-16 August. The ecumenical community is celebrating in 2015 the seventy-fifth anniversary of its foundation by Roger Schutz, as well as the one hundredth anniversary of his birth (on 12 August 1915). Also 16 August was the tenth anniversary of his death.
