Este poema representado fue parte de una inspiradora reunión de mujeres del movimiento ecuménico que estaban presentes en la reunión del Comité Central del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) el 22 de junio.

These words described the dreams of the kind of woman a young woman aspires to be, illustrated by moving images of women’s involvement in the history of the ecumenical movement. This performance poem was just part of an inspiring meeting of the women of the ecumenical movement that were present at the World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee meeting on 22 June.

El Comité Central del Consejo Mundial de Iglesias (CMI) comenzó su reunión el 21 de junio con una oración común que recordó el 75º aniversario de la creación del CMI en 1948 y rememoró a las personas activas en el movimiento ecuménico que han fallecido en el último año.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) central committee opened on 21 June with common prayer that recalled the 75th anniversary of the founding of the WCC in 1948 and remembered those active in the ecumenical movement who have died over the past year.

Burundi recently witnessed a significant event aimed at fostering inclusivity and addressing the impact of climate change on persons with disabilities. During the National Dialogue on Disability-Inclusive Climate Change Policies and Programs last week, the Friends Church in Burundi embarked on a mission to support and uplift women and girls with disabilities in Nyabihanga, Gitega Province.

As churches in the southern hemisphere closed the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity on 28 May, they brought final reflections to this year’s theme of “Do good; seek justice (Isaiah 1:17).”
