The award, given for outstanding work in social media, will be announced during a ceremony on 1 February.

The WCC is shortlisted in the Non-Governmental Organisations and Associations category.

The Geneva Engage initiative, launched by the Geneva Internet Platform in 2016 with the support of the Republic and Canton of Geneva, and DiploFoundation, assesses the interplay between International Geneva and stakeholders worldwide who are impacted by the policies related to development, human rights, and digital justice—policies discussed and negotiated in Geneva. The awards acknowledge the efforts of actors in International Geneva in social media outreach and engagement.

Geneva Engage also examines Geneva’s global footprint and web relevance through the lens of social media engagement.

The WCCs prophetic role in communication enables us to engage in a profound way with people working for justice, reconciliation, and unity across the world. Its joyful to be shortlisted by Geneva Engage for the sixth time,” said Marianne Ejdersten, WCC director of communication. We are looking forward to learning more at the awards ceremony.”
