Geneva's Ecumenical Centre will welcome youth from near and afar by hosting a number of events within the programme of the 30th European Meeting of Young Adults organized by the Taizé community and the local churches in Geneva.

From 28 December 2007 to 1 January 2008, some 40,000 young adults from all over Europe and from other continents will be welcomed by churches and families in Geneva and its surrounding region, both in Switzerland and France.  

As part of a "Pilgrimage of trust on earth", the youth will reflect, meditate, sing and pray together participating in an intensive programme, which includes the following activities hosted by the Ecumenical Centre and the ecumenical organizations headquartered in it:

Saturday, 29 December

3:00-5:00pm   An exchange with God in prayer. Reflection led by a Taizé brother.

3:00-5:00pm   "God's word is not chained." Bible sharing with World Alliance of Reformed Churches general secretary Setri Nyomi, Lutheran World Federation deputy general secretary Paul Chandran Martin and Brother Emile, from Taizé.

Monday, 31 December

3:00-5:00pm   An exchange with God in prayer. Reflection led by a Taizé brother.

3:00-5:00pm   "God's word is not chained." Bible sharing with World Council of Churches general secretary Samuel Kobia and brother Emile, from Taizé.

All of the activities will be in English.
