The first session will focus on the complex relations between multilateral and bilateral dialogues. Participants will look at the cross-fertilisation—or lack of it—between methodologies, experiences, and results of both types of dialogue.

The second session will explore the theme “Local church-universal church and actual societal challenges.” By reviewing different understandings concerning the relationship between the particular and universal expressions of the church, and between unity and diversity, participants will explore how churches can find common answers in addressing societal challenges and global concerns.

The World Council of Churches (WCC) is organizing the new series to draw on the profound experience of those involved in bilateral dialogues, who will share their processes, methodologies, results, and reception.

In addition, the webinar series will bring insights into emerging issues and trends.

This is not a live event. The recording will premiere on the WCC YouTube on 25 November at 14:00 CET
