As interest in many channels of communication from the World Council of Churches (WCC) continues to grow, WCC podcasts are now featured on Spotify. The outlet is one of many new paths the WCC has accessed during the COVID-19 pandemic to keep the ecumenical family close together.

On Spotify, the first WCC podcast series to be available focuses on different aspects of caring and response during COVID-19, including mental health, child rights, and the human right to water. Other upcoming podcasts will be available within the coming weeks.

During 2020, as COVID-19 continues to grip the world, WCC communications has continued to promote love, unity and reconciliation, said Marianne Ejdersten, WCC director of Communication.

“We continue to strive to meet people where they are, offering comfort, peace and accurate information across many channels,” she said. “With a multifaceted approach, we can send our messages across many platforms, in many languages, at a time when the world is in great need.”

Current podcasts available include sessions on COVID-19 support and the human right to water, on child rights, and on mental health.
