The World Council of Churches hosted 60 visitors during the week of 11-14 March.

On 26 December, the theological community mourned the passing of Rev. Prof. Dr Daniel Buda, dean of the Faculty of Theology Andrei Șaguna at the Lucian Blaga University, Sibiu. 

The World Council of Churches (WCC) hosted Bishop Dr Jukka Keskitalo and Rev. Pekka Mustakallio from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, to discuss the ecumenical agenda of 2023 and the harvesting of the WCC 11 th assembly, as well a group from the Centre for Ecumenism of the Protestant Church in Hesse and Nassau, and 21 ordinands from the Church of Sweden.

The World Council of Churches (WCC)  has elected H.E. Metropolitan Nifon of Târgoviște, Romanian Orthodox Church, to serve as vice moderator of the central committee, fulfilling the service of the late Metropolitan Gennadios, and will serve on the leadership of the WCC central committee.

Bei einer Presseinformation vom 22. März tauschte eine Delegation des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) und von ACT Alliance Beobachtungen aus, die sie auf einer kürzlichen Reise nach Ungarn, Rumänien und in die Ukraine gemacht hatten. Dabei konnten sie sich sowohl über die dringlichen humanitären Bedürfnisse als auch über die solide Antwort der Kirchen persönlich einen Blick verschaffen.

Nachdem eine Delegation des Ökumenischen Rates der Kirchen (ÖRK) und von ACT Alliance vergangene Woche Ungarn, Rumänien und die Ukraine besucht hatte, teilte die Gruppe ihre Eindrücke über die Art und Weise, wie die Kirchen im Leben von Tausenden von Menschen, die vor dem Krieg fliehen, eine wichtige Rolle spielen.

After a delegation from the World Council of Churches (WCC) and ACT Alliance visited Hungary, Romania and Ukraine last week, the group came away with reflections on how churches are making a difference in the lives of thousands upon thousands of people fleeing the war.
